First there were Webkinz pets, then there were Lil Kinz pets. In April 2009 Ganz expanded the Webkinz line with the addition of “Signature” pets.

Just like the other types of Webkinz, these plushies come with a code that can be used to adopt them in Webkinz World. With the adoption, members will get a Wish Token, an “eStore-quality pet specific item”, and an exclusive item from the new Signature Theme.

The Regular Signature Pets are released at a rate of one per month. They are both more detailed, realistic, and more expensive than the Webkinz and Lil Kinz pets. They also have limited availability.

Small Signature Webkinz

In December 2009 it was revealed that Ganz would be adding a series of “Small Signature” pets to the Webkinz line-up. Word is that the Small Signature pets were created by Ganz as a response to customers who thought that the Webkinz Signature Pet line was too expensive.

The small signature line was retired from the Webkinz line-up in March 2011. The final addition to the small signature line was confirmed to be the Small Signature Black Lab.[1]

Small Signature pets come with the same adoption gifts as Regular Signature pets.
